About the artist
Ecaterina Vrana was a Romanian painter whose work occupies a distinctive place in contemporary Romanian art through its intensely autobiographical character, emotional depth, and symbolic visual language. Born in Constanța, she studied painting at the Academy of Arts in Bucharest under the guidance of Professor Sorin Ilfoveanu, developing a practice that merged figuration, text, memory, and personal mythology.
