About me...
I think that I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember. In the beginning, just like any other kid, I liked colouring, then reproducing famous Walt Disney characters and later on, when I was in elementary school, I remember with pleasure that my schoolmates would bring me papers sacrificed from their handwriting exercise books, and I would draw for them all kinds of rockets and machinery I could possibly imagine. Noticing this constant passion for drawing, my parents realized that some painting classes at the Pioneers’ Palace (a children’s clubhouse during the communist period) would help me develop the talent I had. Indeed, there I could see for the first time how to create lino-cuts and how to make a composition by using one or several techniques. After all these, permanently encouraged by my family, I let things take their natural course and attended an art high school and further on, an Academy of Fine Arts. I simply love paining, it gives me the feeling that I have special powers, as if I could create a new world, a world I will live in until I have completed a painting, and afterwards I will be reborn once I start another one ... for me it’s therapy!
