Florin Petrachi
Florin Petrachi is a contemporary Romanian painter whose artistic practice explores symbolic imagery, archetypal memory, and the relationship between inner space and visual representation. His works operate at the intersection of the figurative and the oniric, where recognizable forms undergo a process of poetic transfiguration.
His painting is distinguished by an intense chromatic language, a strong sensitivity to pictorial matter, and a compositional structure that encourages contemplation. The universe created by the artist is populated by figures and landscapes with mythical undertones, suggesting a world of beginnings, fragility, and revelation.
Florin Petrachi studied at the “Octav Băncilă” National Art College in Iași and at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, where he completed both undergraduate and master’s degrees in painting. His works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, including at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Paris.
Within the context of Pavot, Florin Petrachi’s painting enters into dialogue with ideas of interiority, memory, and symbol, becoming a source of visual and emotional inspiration—where art meets the wearable object as a form of personal signification.
