Florenci Bosch i Tubau
Florenci Bosch i Tubau was a multifaceted Catalan artist, notable for his contributions to poetry, theater, acting, and painting. His artistic career was significantly shaped and interrupted by the sociopolitical turmoil of his time, including two dictatorial regimes in Spain and his subsequent exile.
Forced to find new forms of expression during the Spanish Civil War and the Francoist regime, Bosch turned to painting while working as a night watchman in Gràcia. This medium allowed him to circumvent language restrictions and continue his artistic journey.
Despite the repressive political climate, Bosch gained recognition for his painting. During the 1940s and early 1950s, he participated in National Fine Arts Exhibitions and held numerous solo exhibitions in Barcelona and Girona. His work during this period showcased his versatility and adaptability as an artist.
